Two elementary schools will close in Cumberland County.
In Tuesday night's meeting, the Cumberland County Board of Education voted 5-3 to approve the closures of J.W. Coon and Manchester elementary schools.

Students will be reassigned next year.
The school board said it will share information about where those students will go in the "near future."
The board previously recommended reassigning Manchester students to W.T Brown Elementary School. Board members also proposed build a new elementary campus on the J.W. Coon campus.
