Durham County deputies search for driver who allegedly shot into car with no clear motive

Durham County deputies are looking for a car and its driver, who is allegedly responsible for shooting into another car with an unclear motive.

On Tuesday, Feb. 17, Durham County deputies said that the driver got out of his car on Globe Road and fired multiple rounds into a gray BMW. 

Deputies said the shooter fled the scene south on Page Road toward Interstate 40. The shooting victim drove into a parking lot near the intersection of S. Miami Boulevard and T.W. Alexander Drive. 

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

As of Thursday, Feb. 26, the Durham County Sheriff's Office identified the suspect vehicle as a matte black, 5th-generation Chevrolet Camaro, with no hubcaps. 

The Camaro, which was not displaying a license plate at the time of the shooting, was last seen in the area of the Northern Durham Parkway shortly before the incident began, deputies said.
