Vehicle pulled from creek after crash on Dearborn Drive, 2 hospitalized with minor injuries

Durham police responded to a crash Friday night involving a vehicle that slid off the road into a creek.

Around 9:46 p.m., officers arrived at the scene of a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Dearborn Drive and Thelma Street.

The vehicle had slid off the roadway, down an embankment, and into the creek.

Durham Fire personnel rescued two adult occupants from the vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Dearborn Drive is back open between East Club Boulevard and Maplewood Drive.
