Making a difference in the community. That is the goal of a local nonprofit preparing for its 5th annual back-to-school drive event in Raleigh.
On Friday, Change the Type LLC will supply 150 children with school supply items needed to have what founder Sydney Ross described as a “successful school year.”

The organization has partnered with the city of Raleigh at Biltmore Hills Community Center to host the annual event.
The event will include free food, music, vendors, bouncy houses, free haircuts, raffle giveaways and more.
It will be held at Biltmore Hills Community Center from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
In addition to their efforts in Raleigh, the organization plans to partner with Buncombe County Schools to provide school supply items to students and families impacted by Hurricane Helene that devastated the area in Western NC.
