Cumberland County deputies arrested a Fayetteville man who is registered as a sex offender for being on the campus of Douglas Byrd High School.
John Taylor, 37, is charged with being a sex offender on child premises.

On Tuesday evening, authorities received information that Taylor was possible violating registration laws by being at the school’s campus at 1624 Ireland Drive in Fayetteville.
The sheriff’s office said GPS monitoring showed Taylor was on campus both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Taylor is due for a court appearance on Thursday afternoon.
