SPCA of Wake County waiving adoption fees on Friday

The SPCA of Wake County is waiving all adoption fees and staying open late on Friday, Aug. 1, to kick off the month-long initiative "Clear the Shelters."

Today is one of our most exciting days of the

year

It's the annual Clear the Shelters event and so we're

inviting everybody in the community to come out and visit

our adoptable pets and the hope is that by the

end of the day we will have cleared the shelter

We're going to be open until midnight tonight

We've extended our hours to give everybody the opportunity to

come in and visit and just staff is sticking around

doing everything we can to hopefully get some of these

guys home

All adoption fees for all pets are waived today Friday

and then for the rest of the weekend it's going

to be 50% off all those fees

If you're interested you might want to check out our

website first and go ahead and reserve your appointment

We are prepared for walk-ins

If you want to visit multiple pets you're not sure

who's the right fit

And uh just come and say hi to everybody
